CAREERS - ENGINEERING APPRENTICESHIPS
Engineering Apprenticeship
- Mechanical Fitter
- Hydraulic Technician
- Engineering Machinist
- Welder/Fabricator
- Spray Painter
Applicants wishing to pursue the Engineering Apprenticeships scheme should have attained, or expect to attain good Standard Grades in subjects which include English, Maths and a Science subject.
At the end of the 4 year apprenticeship you will have achieved and gained a Modern Apprenticeship certificate consisting of:
- SVQ level 2
- SVQ level 3
- NC in Engineering or Engineering Practice
In addition, apprenticeships can study towards a HNC in Engineering or HNC Engineering Practice.
Technician Apprenticeship
- Draughtsman/CAD Operator
Applicants wishing to pursue the Technician Apprenticeship scheme should have attained, or expect to attain good Standard and Higher Grades in subjects which include English, Maths and Physics.
At the end of the 4 year apprenticeship you will have achieved and gained:
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering
During the apprenticeship scheme, candidates must attend college.
