ACE Winches sponsor the 2009 UK Tug of War Championships
The Scottish Tug Of War Association hosted the 2009 UK Tug of War Championships at Duff House Banff on the 22nd and 23rd August. ACE Winches sponsored all 11 new ropes required for the Championships. International level competitions require that a new rope for each weight competition is used.
ACE Winches’ Research and Development, George French, is a member of the local team at Cornhill. Cornhill Tug of War Team currently hold the title of the Scotland B Team. In the UK Open Club Championships George participated in the 600kgs, 640kgs and 680kgs weight competitions and won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal.
